I decided to backpack Torres del Paine for 4 nights and 3 days of hiking moderate to difficult trails. I did the W circuit plus a bit extra for a 49 mile total.

I started by taking the boat across Lago Pehoe to the Refugio and day hiking to Glacier Grey on the first day.

100-120 kph wind was forcasted for the trip.

Futaleufu River

First we caught the plane from Puerto Montt for a 1 hour ride, and then a 3 hour gravel bus ride to the the town of Futaleufu. Riding in the co-pilot seat is pretty fun.

A short run of the Rio Azul
